Boris Georgiev Nikolov was born on March 10, 1929 and died on January 29, 2017.

He was a Bulgarian boxer from Dobrich.

Boris Nikolov was the first Bulgarian ever to win a medal at the Olympics.

Nikolov competed for Bulgaria in the 1952 Summer Olympics held in Helsinki, Finland in the middleweight event where he finished in third place and took a Bronze medal.

During 2010, Boris Nikolov was awarded the Stara Planina Order 1st class.

Boris Nikolov passed away at 87 years old.
