Bonnie Burnard was born on January 15, 1945, in Petrolia, Ontario and died on March 4, 2017

She was a Canadian short story writer and novelist.

Burnard was popularly known for her Scotiabank Giller Prize winning novel A Good House, published in 1999.

Bonnie was raised  in Forest, Ontario and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in the late 1970s.

During the early 1990s, she returned to Southwestern Ontario, and was a resident of London, Ontario where she died

Bonnies had three children and four grandchildren.

Bonnie Burnard passed away at 72 years old.
