Bobby Harwell, American actor, Died at 85

Bobby Rhea Harwell was born on August 22, 1931, in Nashville, Arkansas and died on April 1, 2017.

He was an American actor and producer.

Prior to that, he was serving four years in the Air Force, which included a year in a combat hospital group in Korea, Harwell served in the merchant marines.

Harwell’s service there included an adventurous trip to India on a Swedish freighter that caught fire.

Following his military service, Bobby attended and graduated from the University of Arkansas.

He spent the next twenty years in an eclectic potpourri of employment that included commercial fishing, drapery hanging, driving cabs, working in a skid row blood bank, and teaching school in a Miami ghetto.

During the early 1980s, he began print modeling which led to TV commercials.

Then, he landed three small roles on Miami Vice.

Then, from there Bobby moved to Hollywood where he continued to model while acting in many more TV commercials and doing small parts on TV and in films (see IMDb.com).

Harwell produced one low budget movie which was slated to be shown in the New York Film Festival on September 11, 2001.

He has published one novel, Flawed, which is partly based on his experiences in Hollywood and was working on his second book.

Harwell lived in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and died in Conway, Arkansas on April 1, 2017.

Bobby Harwell passed away at 85 years old.
