Bjarte Erling Eikeset was born on February 22, 1937, in Førde and died on April 22, 2017.

He was a Norwegian lawyer, judge and politician for the Conservative Party.

Eikeset graduated from the University of Oslo with a cand.jur. degree in 1964, and at that institution he was a research assistant from 1964 to 1965 and lecturer from 1965 to 1969.

Bjarte Eikeset worked as a lawyer in FørdeFrom 1969 to 1980.

Since the year 1976 he had access to Supreme Court cases.

During 1980, Bjarte Eikeset was supported to district stipendiary magistrate in Sunnfjord.

During 1993, Eikeset applied, unsuccessfully, for the position as County Governor of Sogn og Fjordane.

Bjarte Eikeset remained in Sunnfjord except for the years 1981 to 1983, and in 2004 he moved to the district stipendiary magistrate chair Fjordane.

Eikeset retired in 2007 due to the age limit of 70 years.

Bjarte Eikeset passed away at 80 years old.
