William “Billy” Ritchie was born on September 11, 1936, and died on March 11, 2016.

He was a Scottish professional football player.

He was best known for his time with Rangers.

Billy Ritchie started his career at local side Bathgate Thistle before moving to Rangers in 1955.

Billy Ritchie played both legs of Rangers 1961 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final defeat to Fiorentina.

Ritchie left Rangers in 1967 and joined Partick Thistle.

Billy Ritchie passed away at 79 yrs old.
