William Edward Lenkaitis was born on June 30, 1946, and died on August 27, 2016.

He was a professional football player.

Bill played center and guard.

He has played fourteen professional seasons.

Bill Lenkaitis played with the American Football League’s San Diego Chargers in 1968 and 1969, and with the National Football League’s San Diego Chargers in 1970.

Then, he spent eleven seasons (1971–1981) with the NFL’s New England Patriots.

He attended the Penn State University, and eventually earned his dental degree in the offseason from the University of Tennessee.

Bill Lenkaitis was the Patriots’ dentist for many years, both when he was playing and beyond.

During that time, he was the only practicing dentist in the league.

He died due to brain cancer.

Bill Lenkaitis passed away at 70 years old.
