Benedito Clayton Veras Alcantara, known as Beni Veras, was born on August 18, 1935 in Fortaleza, and died on November 6, 2015.
He was a was a Brazilian politician.
In the year 2002 Benedito was elected senator by the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party (PMDB),
He was deputy governor of Tasso Jereissati and he took office when the holder spun off the post to contest a seat in the Senate.
Benedito attended the College of Science at the of Ceara Liceu.
He went to Harvard University, where he completed a degree in Administration with specialization in Marketing by CearĂ¡ Business School, after that he went to the USA to complete Economic Development Problems in 1966.
Benedito the son of Oswaldo Farias de Alcantara and Raimunda Veras Farias married to Vanda Sousa Alcantara.
He was reelected for a third term in 1998, where he became the second politician to govern the state three times in almost 110 years of republican history.
Benedito passed away at the age of 80 on November 6, 2015.
