Bengt-Arne Wallin real name Bengt Arne Wallin was born on July 13, 1926, in Linköping, Sweden and died on November 23, 2015, in Sollentuna parish in Stockholm County.

He was a Swedish jazz musician, he played the trumpet, composer, music arranger and a trained flight engineer.

Wallin was also active under the pseudonym Derek Warne.

He was an accordion player in his hometown, which he would win DM accordion with.

From the 1940s and 50s, Wallin worked as a trumpeter and arranger in Linköping, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

Then in Malte Johnsons Orchestra in Gothenburg, Wallin came to Stockholm, where he played for Seymour Österwall at Nalen 1951 to 1952.

From 1953 to 1965, he was involved in Arne Domnérus big band, and between 1955 and 1965 even in the Harry Arnold Radio Band and then he put the trumpet on the shelf.

From 1972 to 1993, Bengt-Arne was a teacher at the Academy of Music in Stockholm.
