Bas van Erp, Dutch wheelchair tennis player, Died at 36

Bas van Er was born on July 2, 1979, in Boxtel and ied on April 3, 2016, in Liempde.

He was a Dutch wheelchair tennis player.

Bas was the winner of two bronze medals at the 2004 Paralympic Games; one in the quad singles event and the other one in the quad doubles event.

Following the 2004 Games, Erp was about to stop playing wheelchair tennis, because he became very ill.

Following his recovery, he decided to reach the Paralympic Games one more time.

Bas competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, as in 2004 in the quad singles event and the quad doubles event but didn’t win a medal.

During his daily life, Erp was receptionist and accountant.

He died in his house in Liempde.

Bas van Er passed away at 36 yrs old.
