Banner Thomas was born in 1956 and died on April 10, 2017.

He was an American bass guitarist.

The group Molly Hatchet was founded by guitarist Dave Hlubek in 1971.

The band first four studio albums: “Molly Hatchet” (in 1978), the album went platinum; “Flirtin’ With Disaster” ( in 1979), went on to sell over 2 million copies.

The song “Beatin’ the Odds” (1980), another platinum album; and “Take No Prisoners” (1981), which peaked at No. 36 on the U.S. albums chart.

They came from Jacksonville, Florida.

In 1953, Thomas left the band to co-found the group Big Engine.

Thomas the bassist died of pneumonia.

Banner Thomas passed away at 63 years old.
