He was popularly known as Balasaheb Vikhe Patil.
He was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India.
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, represented the Kopargaon constituency of Maharashtra and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party.
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil was the eldest son of Padmashree Vithalrao Vikhe Patil, who started Asia’s first co-operative sugar factory at Loni in Maharashtra.
He was awarded with prestigious civilian award Padma Bhushan on March 31, 2010, for his outstanding work in the field of Social Work.
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil passed away at 84 years old.
