Australian footballer, Graeme Gahan, Died at 76


Graeme Arthur Gahan was born on 10 January 1942 and died on 23 February 2018.

He was an Australian rules footballer.

He was a player with Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

He played as a halfback, he spent eight seasons at Richmond.

Gahan relocated to Tasmania in 1967, captain-coaching Scottsdale.

Gahan won the Orchard Trophy during his first year, Gahan steered Scottsdale to a Northern Tasmanian Football Association premiership in 1968.

The following season Gahan crossed to Glenorchy as the coach.

They both finished fifth in his first year of him in charge.

Gahan was also a professional sprinter.

Then, later a successful coach with Warragul in the Latrobe Valley Football League.

He died at 76 years old.
