Arthur Shaw was born on April 9, 1924, and died on November 2, 2015.

He was an English professional footballer who played as a wing half.

Born in Limehouse, Arthur played in the Football League for Brentford, Arsenal and Watford, making a total of 64 league appearances.

Arthur also played non-league football for Southall, Hayes and Gravesend & Northfleet, and represented the England national amateur football team.

Arsenal won the old First Division in 1952 to 1953 and he made 25 league appearances, enough for a winners’ medal.

Arthur Shaw passed away at age 91 in November 2015.
