Arthur loved singing, writing songs and was a true entertainer.

He also served in the United States Navy.

The group the Impressions was an American music group from Chicago, originally formed in 1958.

The group was founded as The Roosters by Chattanooga, Tennessee natives Sam Gooden, Richard Brooks and Arthur Brooks,
their collection includes doo-wop, gospel, soul, and R&B.

In 1958, in Chicago, the Brookses and Gooden met Jerry Butler and Curtis Mayfield and recorded “For Your Precious Love,” which became their first hit.

This was followed by “Come Back My Love” and “Love Me.”

Arthur Brooks passed away at 82 years old.
