Armand Gatti was born on January 26, 1924 and died on April 6, 2017.

He was a French playwright, poet, journalist, screenwriter, filmmaker and former World War II resistance fighter.

Gatti debut film Enclosure was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival where he won the Silver Prize for Best Director.

Later after two years, his film El Otro Cristóbal was entered into the 1963 Cannes Film Festival.

During 2013, Gatti was awarded the Grand prix du théâtre de l’Académie française.

Armand Gatti passed away at 93 years old.
