Argentine footballer, Leopoldo Luque, Died at 71

Leopoldo Jacinto Luque May 3, 1949, and died on February 15, 2021.

He was an Argentine footballer. Luque played as a striker.

His profession traversing from 1972 to 1984, Luque participated for the Unión de Santa Fe, Rosario Central, River Plate, Racing Club de Avellaneda and Chacarita Juniors.

He scored every one of the five scored in a game in which his group, River Plate, crushed San Lorenzo de Almagro 5–1 on February 22, 1976.

In the 1978 World Championship, he was Argentina’s champion, scoring four career-changing goals in the competition, including a fantastic significant distance volley against France during the first round.

During that competition, his sibling passed on in an auto collision on the day that Argentina played Italy.

Additionally, Leopoldo Luque genuinely harmed his left elbow in the match against France, the second round of that title, compelling him to miss two matches.

Luque came back for the last three matches of the competition, including the last against the Netherlands.

Later, he served as the sports secretary of Mendoza Province.

Luque previously had a heart attack from which he recovered, in February 2007.

Leopoldo Luque died in Mendoza, Argentina due to Covid -19.
