Annie de Reuver Dutch singer, Died at 98

Anna Maria Clasina (Annie) de Reuver was born on February 19, 1817, and died on January 1, 2016.

She was a Dutch singer.

Annie de Reuver was one of the most popular Dutch singers in the forties and fifties of the twentieth century.

She inherited the love of music from her mother’s sides.

During her early school years, Anna started with two boys the musical trio The Rhythm Aces.

Thereafter Reuver sang at amateur big band The Blue Blowers.

At a young age, the Reuvers album debut at The Ramblers and took place in late 1934.

She is a recipient of a royal decoration and Erasmusspeld of the municipality of Rotterdam.

De Reuver performed at 88 yrs old at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam on the occasion of 60th anniversary of independence, in 2005.

In celebration of her birthday, she published her book “Candidly”.

This was her biography, written by the Rotterdam journalist Rein Wolters, describes her life and her contacts with many famous Dutch.

During her time spent in the Oude Luxor Theater in Rotterdam, she had received the first copy from friend Bas van Too

She was married four times but nerver had  children.

Annie de Reuver passed away at 98 yrs old complications from hip surgery.
