Aníbal Ruiz Leites was born on December 30, 1942, and died on March 10, 2017.

He was an association football coach.

On March 10, 2017, as the assistant manager to lead manager José Cardozo at Puebla, Ruiz collapsed on the pitch at the Luis “Pirata” Fuente Stadium in Veracruz while the team was warming up.

Later, Ruiz died as a result of a heart attack on the way to a local hospital.

Aníbal Ruiz passed away at 74 years old.
