Andreas Buro was born on August 15, 1928, in Berlin and died on January 19, 2016, in Grävenwiesbach.
He was a German political scientist and since the 1950s, an influential figure in the West European peace movement.

Buro taught from 1980 as a professor of international politics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.

Andreas Buro passed away at 87 yrs old after a brief illness at his home in Grävenwiesbach im Taunus with his family.
