Amin Nasir, Singaporean football player, Died at 48

Amin Nasir was born in  1968 and died on January 16, 2017.

He was a Singaporean football player and manager.

Nasir played as a defender for sides including Sembawang Rangers and Woodlands Wellington.

Nasir managed the S.League side Hougang United from 2013 to 2014.

Nasir also represented the Singapore national football team and was awarded a bronze medal at the 1993 Southeast Asian Games.

Amin’s brother, Nazri, captained the Singapore national team from 1997 to 2003.

Amin Nasir was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2012.

He died more than four years after his original diagnosis.

Nasir was survived by his wife and two children.

Amin Nasir passed away at 48 years old.
