American playwright and poet, Ntozake Shange, Died at 70

Ntozake Shange was born on October 18, 1948, and died on October 27, 2018.

She was an American playwright and poet.

As a self-announced dark women’s activist, she delivers issues identifying with race and women’s liberation in quite a bit of her work.

Shange is best known for the Obie Award-winning play for hued young ladies who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf.

She has additionally composed a few books including Sassafrass, Cypress and Indigo, Liliane, and Betsey Brown, a novel around an African-American young lady who flees from home.
