Glenn Schwartz was born on March 20, 1941 and died on November 3, 2018.

He was the American original guitarist of The James Gang, based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

The band did not have an accounting contract, nor did the gathering increase any consideration until Joe Walsh joined the band.

Schwartz left the James Gang in late December 1967 when he moved to California.

Later, Glenn joined the Los Angeles based blues band Pacific Gas and Electric where he originally went to the consideration of shake groups of onlookers, and, in 1970, scored a national-best 20 hit with the tune “Are You Ready?”.

Tired of the stone and move life, he cleared out PG&E to join a spearheading Gospel shake gather All Saved Freak Band, which was the melodic evangelistic arm of an Ohio religious gathering turned-clique, the Church of the Risen Christ, headed by Larry Hill.

Schwartz’s life in this clique with Rev. Larry Hill is investigated in the book, Fortney Road: Life, Death, and Deception in a Christian Cult by Jeff C. Stevenson (2015).

All Told, Schwartz recorded four collections with the Freak Band before abandoning it in 1980.

Through the 2000s, Schwartz played week after week blues gigs at bars in Cleveland’s The Flats neighborhood, frequently with his sibling, Gene.

Changes at scenes and medical problems shielded him from playing live for a couple of years, but, Schwartz came back to the phase for a 75th birthday celebration appear and an off the cuff stick at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with Joe Walsh and The Arcs, highlighting Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

Starting at 2016, he has brought his commended guitar playing — and evangelist style arrange nearness — back to Cleveland bars routinely and has returned into a Nashville studio with Auerbach.

Schwartz passed away at 77 years old.
