American journalist, Michael Getler, Died at 82

Bernard “Lefty” Kreh died in 2018.

He was an American fly fisherman, photographer and fly casting instructor.

Prior to his, recently he resided in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Michael Getler was is most known for being one of the pioneers of saltwater fly fishing and his book, Fly Fishing in Salt Water, is considered the seminal volume on the subject.

Michael Getler’s wife Evelyn Kreh, died in November 2011.

Together they had two children, Victoria and Larry, and several grandchildren, Larry’s son Larry Jr, and Victoria’s children, Matthew (married to Laura), Hillary (married to Ronald) and Samantha (married to Colin), as well as great-grandchildren from Hillary and Ronald, Alexandria, Allyssa, Ryan, Emily, and William.

He died of congestive heart failure at his home in Cockeysville, Maryland, March 14, 2018.

He died at 82 years old.
