American Jesuit priest, Robert F. Taft, Died at 86

Robert Francis Taft, S.J. was born on January 9, 1932, in Providence, Rhode Island and died on November 2, 2018.

He was an American Jesuit priest and Archimandrite of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

Robert F. Taft was one of the 23 Eastern Catholic Churches in full fellowship with the Holy See of Rome.

A specialist in an Oriental sacrament, he was a teacher at the Pontifical Oriental Institute from 1975 to 2011 and its Vice-minister from 1995 to 2001.

During 2011 he left Rome and the library work area at the Oriental Institute which he possessed for a long time.

Robert F. Taft inhabited Campion Hall, in Weston, the site of his school contemplates, now the retirement office of the New England Jesuit Province.

Robert F. Taft died on November 2, 2018
