American football player, Jack Patera, Died at 85

John Arlen Patera was born on August 1, 1933, in Bismarck, North Dakota and died on October 31, 2018.

He was a former American football player and coach in the National Football League.

He played for the Baltimore Colts, Chicago Cardinals, and Dallas Cowboys.

Patera was a collaborator mentor for the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings.

Patera was the principal head mentor of the Seattle Seahawks, and His profession head instructing record is 35– 59– 0 (.372), all with the Seahawks.

He as of now lives in Cle Elum, Washington.

Patera went to Washington High School in Portland, Oregon.

Upon graduation in 1951, Patera enlisted at the University of Oregon in Eugene, where he played school football for the Ducks from 1951– 1954, acquiring All-Pacific Coast Conference respects as a protection in his senior year.

Different respects incorporated his choice to play in the 1955 East-West Shrine Game, the Hula Bowl, and the College All-Star Game.

During 1982, Patera was accepted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.

In 2000, he was accepted into the University of Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame.

Following his leave from the Seahawks, Patera never took another coaching position and is completely retired from football.

Patera at present dwells in Cle Elum, Washington with his three pooches.

Patera and his better half, Susan, are separated following 44 years of marriage.

They have four youngsters, 9 grandkids and 11 extraordinary grandkids.

He is the more seasoned sibling previous Olympic weightlifter and expert wrestler Ken Patera.

Patera is additionally the more established sibling of previous San Francisco 49ers player Dennis Patera.

On a morning deer chase east of Eugene in 1954, Patera incidentally shot and slaughtered previous Oregon colleague Ken Sweitzer, an alumni right hand with the group.

It was ruled coincidental and Patera was cleared of carelessness.

Patera passed away at 85 years old due to pancreatic cancer.
