American composer, Kurt Kaiser, Died at 83

Kurt Kaiser was born on December 17, 1934, in Chicago and died on November 12, 2018.

He was an American contemporary church music composer.

The American writer and arranger, Kurt Kaiser, learned at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and earned two degrees from Northwestern University.

Kurt grew up performing all through the city of Chicago.

As ahead of schedule as twelve years old, he was sharpening his improvisational aptitudes playing piano and organ for live radio on WMBI.

At fifteen Kurt put in over a year in Billings, Montana, doing live radio on KGHL, going with performers, and playing for restorations and church occasions all through the Northwest United States.

Kurt met his future lady of the hour, Patricia Anderson, amid this period.

In 1956, They wedded.

After his time in Billings, Kaiser put in 18 months going with acclaimed basso Bill Carle before entering the American Conservatory of Music at age eighteen.

Kaiser proceeded to procure two degrees from Northwestern University.

Kurt Kaiser joined Word, Inc. in 1959 as Director of Artists and Repertoire and later progressed toward becoming Vice President and Director of Music.

With in excess of 300 copyrighted melodies, he masterminded and created collections for some national and global specialists, among them George Beverly Shea, Jerome Hines, Burl Ives, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Ethel Waters, Ken Medema, Joni Eareckson Tada, Anne Martindale Williams, Christopher Adkins and Stephen Nielson, Christopher Parkening, and Kathleen Battle.

Kaiser made a trip to Europe innumerable occasions, and in addition Tokyo, Mexico City, and Stockholm for chronicle.

He drove countless choral workshops, performed shows, and recorded eighteen solo collections at the piano.

Kaiser got a Dove grant for his piano collection, “Songs, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs” on the Sparrow mark.

Kurt Kaiser passed away at 83 years old.
