American-Canadian football coach Urban Bowman, Died at 80

Urban M. Bowman, Jr. died in February 25, 2018.

He was a gridiron football player and coach.

Bowman served as the interim head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

His first wife died in 1973.

Before his death, he lived in Sandy Hook, Manitoba with his second wife Cindy.

He became a citizen of Canada in 1995.

Also to him been coaching football, Bowman also worked as a teacher, farmer, janitor, soda jerk and Coca-Cola truck driver.

During 2009, Bowman was inducted into the Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame.

On February 25, 2018, the Blue Bombers announced that Bowman had died earlier that day, from prostate cancer.

Bowman died at 80 years old.
