He was an American jazz fusion drummer and the owner of Tenacious Records.

The same label that primarily releases Mouzon’s recordings.

Mouzon was a composer, arranger, producer, and actor.

Alphonse gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

He was of African, French and Blackfoot descent.

He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare form of cancer, and died due to a cardiac arrest.
