Ali Javan was born on December 26, 1926, and died on September 12, 2016.

He was an Iranian-American physicist and inventor at MIT.

Javan main contributions to science have been in the fields of quantum physics and spectroscopy.

Ali co-invented the gas laser in 1960, with William R. Bennett.

During 2007, he was ranked Number 12 on The Daily Telegraph’s list of the “Top 100 Living Geniuses”.

Ali was the first member of Eurasian Academy.

Ali Javan passed away at 89 years old.
