Alex de Jesús was born on February 2, 1983, and died on April 3, 2016.

He was a Puerto Rican professional boxer.

During his amateur years, de Jesús represented the island of Puerto Rico in international events, including the 2003 Pan American Games, the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games and the 2004 Summer Olympics.

During the early part of his career, Alex won seven regional titles: the World Boxing Organization Latino lightweight title, World Boxing Council Caribbean Boxing Federation lightweight title, World Boxing Association Fedecaribe Lightweight title, WBO Latino light welterweight title, WBA Fedecaribe Welterweight title, WBC Latino light welterweight title and the WBA Fedebol light welterweight title.

De Jesus served a four-year prison sentence on domestic violence charges, from 2009 to 2013.

Alex’s charges included violating a protective order against his wife and kids, and he served his time in a Bayamon, Puerto Rico jail.

In San Juan, on April 2, 2016, De Jesús was charged for allegedly attacking his stepmother.

Alex de Jesús had filed a complaint against him with the local authorities, claiming the boxer attacked her.

Alex de Jesús was later found shot to death on April 3, 2016.

Alex de Jesús passed away at 33 yrs old.
