Albert Poulain was born September 8, 1932, and died on October 6, 2015 in Redon.

He was a designer, singer, storyteller and collector Breton.

He studied drawing and architecture at the Conservatory of Arts and Crafts from 1953 to 1958.

While he was in Paris at the touch of Hervé Le Menn and active cultural groups as Vreizh Ker, he was interested in Breton popular culture.

In the year 1957, he became a co-founder of MOB (Movement for the organization of Brittany).

Albert regularly visited the Celtic circles, Kevrenn of Rennes and he began recording traditional singers and collecting nearly 600 songs in the region of Pipriac and La Gacilly.

1500 was the number of songs and collected by him.

He entered himself in local festivals.

In 1959, Albert met Jean-Louis Latour and Albert Noblet, who worked together of Breton cultural grouping of countries Vilaine.

Albert was awarded the Order of the Ermine.

Albert Poulain passed away at 83 yrs old.
