Alban Denuit was Born in 1983, and died on November 13, 2015.

He was a graduate of the National School of Fine Arts in Paris in 2009, Alban completed a PhD in Fine Arts at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne.

His sculptural work questions the norms that regulate the sizes and formats of the most diverse objects of everyday life, often invisible, but structuring objects standards as well as our quality of life and the work of Alban Denuit reveals.

The seminar will also be an opportunity to discuss with him the recent works presented in the last group exhibition of gallery Eponyme.

At the crossroads of history, theory and practice, the contemporary art history seminar Richard Leeman is for master’s students and doctoral students of visual arts and history of the Art Montaigne Bordeaux University, students of Fine Arts of Bordeaux and more broadly to the current art lovers.

Alban stands at the CAPC of Bordeaux, 7 Rue Ferrere.

The seminar deals with the contemporary art of the 1990s to today, and relies in part on the collections and temporary exhibitions LCdr well as occasional invitations of artists, critics, curators, collectors, researchers.

The bias of the seminar is to speak of a singular work, from which the analysis and commentary will unfold.

With the ambition to contribute to art history of the last twenty years.

Alban passed away at age 32 in November 2015.
