Ahmed Ali died on October 29, 2015 at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH)

He was known as Bangladeshi war criminal, confessed to crimes against humanity in the Liberation War.

Ahmed Ali lived at Sunaikanda in Purbadhala upazila of Netrakona district.

On August 13, 2015, the International Crimes Tribunal-1 sentenced Ali, he was arrested for his involvement in crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971, he was jailed.

It has been said that in 2013, freedom fighter Abdul Quadir of Barohaganakpara village filed a written complaint with the tribunal against 7-8 suspected war criminals, where he alleged that Ali had been involved in the abducting of seven people, killing, looting and carrying out arson attacks during the Liberation War.

Ahmed passed away at age 78 in October 2015.
