Agniva Lahiri was born on August 22, 1979, and died on September 20, 2016.

He was an Indian LGBT social activist from Kolkata.

Lahiri was active in promoting the causes of the transgender members of the community.

He founded People Like Us (PLUS) Kolkata, a Non Governmental Organization, in 2001 and was serving as its Executive Director.

He was also associated with Network of Asia Pacific Youth as a coordinator for Coordinator for Policy Research and International Advocacy.

He started the establishment of an organization for the transgenders and gender variant men in 2000 and informally started the organization, People Like Us (PLUS) Kolkata in 2001.

Agniva Lahiri passed away at 37 years old.
