Agha Nasir was born on February 9, 1937, in Mumbai, India and died on July 12, 2016.

He was a Pakistani director, producer, broadcaster and writer.

Nasir began his career at Radio Pakistan in 1955.

Nasir later directed films and worked in the television industry.

Agha was one of the people who developed the logo of the Pakistan Television Corporation.

Nasir produced the popular serials Girah and Pani Peh Naam and directed the drama Taleem-e-Balighan.

Agha was a recipient of the President Pride of Performance Award in 1993.

The Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif expressed grief over his death.

Agha Nasir passed away at 79 years old.
