Abel Dhaira was born on September 9, 1987, and died on March 27, 2016.

He was a Ugandan international footballer.

Abel last played for Icelandic club ÍBV, as a goalkeeper.

He played club football in Uganda, the Congo and Iceland for Express, URA, AS Vita (whom he joined in December 2009 for US$22,000) and ÍB Vestmannaeyjar.

Abel Dhaira was released by Tanzanian club Simba SC in December 2013

In 2009, Abel Dhaira made his international debut for Uganda.

Abel Dhaira competed at the 2012 CECAFA Cup, where he was hospitalised following a collision with an opposition player.

Abel Dhaira passed away at 28 yrs old due to cancer.
