Abdelhamid Abaaoud was born on April 8, 1987, and died on November 18, 2015.

He was a Belgian Islamic terrorist who is suspected of having organized multiple terror attacks in Belgium and France, including the November 2015 Paris attacks.

AbAbdelhamid aaoud, one of six children, was born on 8 April 1987 in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, a suburb of Brussels, Belgium.

He was the son of Omar Abaaoud, a shopkeeper who emigrated to Belgium from Morocco in 1975.

Abdelhamid grew up in Molenbeek, an area where “the radical Salafist ideology has flourished among some young Muslims.”

He attended the elite Collège Saint-Pierre in Uccle for at least one year.

In 2010, Abdelhamid had spent time in prison at Saint Gilles for petty theft.

In 2013, he recruited his then 13-year-old brother Younes to join him in Syria.

They left for Syria on 19 January 2014, for which he was convicted of abduction, having been previously convicted of robbery.

Abdelhamid passed away at age 28 in November 2015.
